American rapper thinks being Irish is about loving the IRA, alcohol and not necessarily winning football matches
This is a video for a song by American rapper Macklemore in which he expresses his pride to be Irish. The clip includes footage of old men drinking in pubs and men in balaclavas throwing petrol bombs.
He goes on to describe Irish people as a group of “freckle-faced husters”. Let us know in the comments if you think this video is an accurate representation of what it means to be Irish.
In other transatlantic Irish news, here’s the video of a drunk Irish giant that’s been super popular on nymag.com, and a pretty good clip from The Guard, the new Irish buddy cop movie with Brendan Gleeson and Don Cheadle toughing it out.m afraid that we the american-irish(who are just as irish as the rest)are the only true irish left. because we are the only brave, and kind, irish left. they gave up…the fighting irish gave up.
